Leigh is a Certified Art Therapist in Denver, Colorado. She was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. In high school, she developed a knack for art and from there, began exploring careers that would involve creativity and expression.

After attending Auburn University (War Eagle!) where she focused on Studio Art and Psychology, she took her talents north to the University of Louisville. While in grad school, she worked at inpatient hospital settings, specializing in Adolescents, Trauma, and Crisis Management.

While living in Louisville, she was named a Board Certified Art Therapist and a Licensed Practicing Counselor. Towards the end of her years in Louisville, she began working in private practice where she honed her skills in Play Therapy.

Under the supervision of a Play Therapist, she began the arduous process of obtaining her RPT.  She then became educated in Child Centered Play Therapy, Filial Therapy, Autplay, and Polyvagal.

She particularly enjoys working with children under 7 and collaborating closely with parents to strengthen the bond between child and parent. In addition to art, play, and counseling, she is a Positive Discipline Parent Educator.

When our time together is over, you will:

  • be able to use creative strategies to meet the needs of you and your family,

  • feel empowered, informed, and capable,

  • have gained a fresh perspective on yourself, your symptoms, and your version of health,

  • that your shame and stigmas have been reduced,

  • that you approach yourself and others with grace, acceptance, and curiosity, and

  • that you feel skilled in seeking needs beneath the surface rather than reacting to symptoms at the tip of the iceberg.

Leigh moved to Denver in 2023 to begin her own practice in an exciting city. When she's not working, she spends time with her family, enjoys traveling the world, and can often be found being adventurous.
